Dr. Yoon Sik Kang is recognized as one of the best colorectal surgeons in Korea. He has contributed greatly to the development in the field of colorectal surgery in Korea, and has received various awards, including being voted as the best colorectal surgeon by a group of medical professors in 2002.
As a nationally recognized surgeon, he has made countless appearances on medical programs on Korean television, such as KBS, MBC, SBS and MBN.
Also as an internationally recognized surgeon, Dr. Kang was invited to give special lecture in 2000 in Washington D.C. USA celebrating the 100th anniversary of the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons, and gave special lecture at an academic conference on colorectal disease in 2005 in Tokyo, Japan.
He was trained at the School of Medicine at Seoul National University, and completed Research Fellowship at St. Mark’s Hospital, London, U.K. |
